The quickest way to Finchingfield is to turn right out of Dynes Cottage and walk approximately half a mile along the lane to the village. There is very little traffic on the lane and it is very safe.

If you’d like a longer, more picturesque route then see below!

• Turn left out of Dynes Cottage.
• Follow the lane around to the left.
• You’ll see a footpath sign on your left.
• Turn left onto the footpath and keep walking straight. You’ll roughly follow the line of the telegraph poles.
• At the end of the field go over the style.
• Turn right and follow the path.
• At the end go the path, turn right and you are in the village.
